“Readers for Life” July 13, 2016

July 13, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

“Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing at San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina – 333 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

At the “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing, hundreds of romance authors meet with and sign books for fans in this two-hour event, with the proceeds from book sales going to literacy organizations. In 2015, Romance Writers of America raised more than $48,000 to benefit literacy programs — bringing our total donations since 1990 to $961,300. Help RWA hit our $1 million goal for literacy donations!

Thank you to the Nora Roberts Foundation for underwriting the Literacy Autographing! For a full list of all the authors attending, see the RWA Event List.

Best Practices for Self-Publishing: May 25, 2016

Best Practices for Self-Publishing: May 25, 2016

As part of the King County Library System’s “Playing with Words” program, Gerri will be discussing how to self-publish for unpublished and published authors alike. This is a “how to” workshop, not a “should I do it” workshop.

Gerri will discuss things to consider before you self-publish, how to prepare your manuscript for conversion, then take you through the steps for producing a converted document for .mobi (Kindle) and ePub (All other e-tailers). It’s a must for anyone considering self-publishing.
